Point, Savannah River, Georgia, where he
was received on November 15, 1864, for

Transferred to hospital at Chester,
Pennsylvania, on or about July 14, 1863.
Paroled at Chester and transferred to
City Point, Virginia, where he was
received on August 20, 1863, for
exchange. Hospitalized at Farmville,
Virginia, August 28, 1863. Furloughed for
thirty days on September 12, 1863.
Reported absent wounded or absent sick
through December, 1864. Deserted to the
enemy on an unspecified date. Took the
Oath of Allegiance at City Point on

April 30, 1863, by reason of
"gen[era]l debility & phthisis
pulmonalis." Hospitalized at
Richmond, Virginia, May 2, 1863, with
typhoid pneumonia. Died in hospital at
Richmond on June 1, 1863, of

promoted to Sergeant in May-June, 1863.
Killed at Chickamauga, Georgia, September
