April the 9 1892
Dear children,
I will try this Morning
to write you a few lines after so long a
time to let you heare from us. I was sick
so long that I could not write. I wasent
out of the house for five weekes. I
thought I was going to die and your pa
was very sick part of his time. he wasent
able to cut a fire off wood but we are
getting along very well now and I hope
this will find you all well. Henry never
got your card untill friday evning. he
started after you Saturday. met Wesley
and he told him that you had mooved and
that you said you wasent going to moove
down hear and if Henry come he would have
to come back on his own expencies that
was why he dident come. Henrys folk has
all had the Measel. Ida has a baby born
the 6 of march. Martha has a big boy born
the 21 of march and Amy Jane will have
another if she has good luck all so Eliza
Ann will have another one to. Zula Putman
Died the 21 of March. she lost a baby and
died. ther has bin a large number of
deaths down heare.

for I cant half write now. It haint bin
long sens
I dident ever to write any moor to any
body.

I like home very well.
the house is like the one we lived in at
Mr Bridges only this haint no room in the
poarch. it has a ell to it and a very
nice closset. my garden looks nice. we
have irish potatoes up. we have a good
well of water in the yard. Jim Dixon has
mooved to the factory at Spartin burge.
the children is tolerable Sins they have
got over the Measels. they went hard with
Henry. now Celenia I have told you about
all I know, now tell me all about things
up there and if the grippe has visited
you up there. Jim and Ida is croping with
Susannah this year. tell all the children
howdy for us. we would love to come to
see you this spring if we could. it is
raining. I can look out at the window
while I write and see Doctor gilburls
house. there is some nice people around
heare so I will have to bid you good by.
I hope the Lord will bless you. all
