I write you these few lines in answer to yours which we received. a few lines in answer to yours which was gladly received a few days ago. was glad to hear you all was well this leaves all in common health. the wether is so hot we cant feel well and I hav had to stay in the kitching for the last week till I am most baked. we hav had rite smart of company for the 4. Ed &. Mrs Laura Cooper an daughter & all staid till sunday. and several others was hear. I baked 5 cakes for the 4 Celena, you said Thomas sed about Frank sending the books & papers to him. I am afraid tell frank to keep them and do the best he can. has Thomas ever sent the girls Money to them? has Pas wood bin sold yet that he cut In the woods? Celena, who got Pas bible? hav any of you bin to there graves since they was buried? I want Frank when the money is collected & the lot is sold to put toom rocks to ther graves then divide the rest. [p.1] part of this was writen the other day and I dident date it till this morning the 10 of July. Brother Thomas staid with us last kinght. he has got him a job of work at Lovers at cowpen bilding house. we are in common health hoping you are all well. would love to see you all. it has bin verry dry hear some time till Wednesday, we had a good rain. we have had several storms hear. I will close. hoping to hear from you soon.
