Saturday July 4 1891

Dear children,

this leaves us only tolerable well and I do hope this will find you all well and doing well well Celenia. I recon you think mother is along time before she writes. I got home all right twenty minutes before two o clock. it rained that evning after I got home. the next Sunday I went to Cleavland. come back to day. a week ago found all well down there but Isabell she was very bad off with flux and is threatend with miscariage. she suffered dreadfull. she sayes she never will get well I dont expect to see her any moor. I havent heard from her sins I left there. I wouldent left her but your pa wasent well when I left and I couldent stay any longer with her. I looked for a letter yesterday but got none. I expect she is dead without she got better. she couldent live long. she was easier when I left. the doctor had bin to see her three times. I do want to hear from her so bad. I rest a bit Celenia. I want to see you all as bad as I did before I was there. Henry is going to rint the dedmon place for Frank and George Thomas Dickson if they want it. [p.1]

I expect we will go down there some where this fall. there is a heap of sickness down heare among children. some has died. tempy Dentons baby is very bad off. Mits baby looks like it cant live and if it dont mend soon it will die. it is very dry hear and very hot. Amy Jane sayes she haint had no letter from you in a long time. I got me some wool all the same. Julia is fat as a pig. Celenia, how is your chicking doing? mine is all dieing, nothing aint doing as well as it did last year. Idah and her family is only tolerable well. I will tell you what we are all doing. your pa has Just come in from picking some black buryes and is eating a appel. Otas is a sleep. Celenia come and see us. you and frank and the children come some at a time if all cant come at one time come soon. write soon and dont think hard of me for not writing sooner. I told you the cause of me not writing. I wish it was so I could go to see my children when I pleased. I would see you in a few dayes. I hope the Lord will bless you all come heare after. good by to you all come
